Comic books and tin toys of the 40s and 50s are the inspiration behind the series of CoolRockets by designer Jeff Brewer, who is also a model maker for the film and television industry. His credits include Star Trek VIII-First Contact, Star Wars Episode I and Pearl Harbor.
